Upgrading to IE 7.0 caused major trouble.. how do I *completely* get rid of it?

The company I work for uses a program called Siebel for database information, and the comnpany' users access this over the internet with a URL. Well one of our users had the idea of upgrading to IE 7.0 beta would be an excellent idea.. it wasn't, now Siebel started freezing and closing out of IE. He downgraded back to 6.0 but now he still gets the error. That's telling me some of 7.0's goodness is still in there somewhere screwing around.. how can I *completely* get rid of 7.0? With 6.0 everything is perfect. I think he's running XP but I'd REALLY rather not do a System Restore for something this small.

Any help appreciated fellas.

Suggestions...

1. Use "Restore" to return to the state of prior to IE 7 beta
2. Format clean and start fresh...

but (since I haven't tried IE 7 beta) there's no "Uninstall" option for the beta version then?

Did the user remove IE7 by using Add/Remove Programs to uninstall? If so, then I agree with proxops-pete. System restore would be the best option. You will be able to go back to the exact state the computer was in before the browser upgrade.

proxops, you have to check the "show updates" box in the add/remove window to have it show up. not really "user friendly".

Thanks fellas, I dont have an xp box around right now to see how to get to it, but where in the menu do you access System Restore? I've done it quite a few times but I'm one of those "I need it in front of me" to remember guys. I think control panel > system > system restore? Or can you access it through an F8 prompt? I don't think this guy has admin rights to do it normally through windows and the admin is lost somewhere in purgatory.
