Unable to figure out how to make a ISO image for a bootable CD

I'm trying to make a bootable CD from O/S files in a folder on my HDD. This is a 'Lite' version of XP Corp.
I use Nero V6.6 and for the life of me I can't figure out how to make a iso file to burn to a CD.

I did this before (a few years ago) but can't figure it out. A couple other programs allow making a iso file from a CD, but not from files on a HDD.
Keep free, over the air television alive. Wireless services occupy enough spectrum already, they don't need any more. Free, OTA TV is what makes this country unique.

Can't you just go to 'File' then 'open' and select the iso. Nero should do the rest.

ISO File and Bootable capacity of a CD-ROM are two different issues.

ISO is a standard software file that is an image of the CD. If you make an ISO of a Bootable CD the ISO file would record it as well.

There are many programs that can help in creating a CD bootable (
Google for the term Bootable CD).

There are also ISO creating programs (UltraISO as an example) that help you to assemble an ISO from files and make the creation bootable. I.e. if you burn such an ISO file it yield a bootable CD

    Instructions are here.

If you want to save it directly to ISO instead of burning directly to a CD, just use Nero's image recorder instead of your actual burner.
