im half tempted to get a 7800 to replace my current video....hmph. just have that itch for a bit more "pep".

Doom was creepy until the shock factor wore off and then it just got repetitive for me. Right now I'm playing condemned and it remains creepy, but the story line is enough to keep me playing. I dunno if you have a 360 or not, but give that one a shot if ya like creepy games.

Yep, an XFX GF7950 GX2 520M Extreme to be precise. Cost me about 600 smackers (converted to USD), I just hope this upgrade itch has finally been scratched.

Edit : A pic of the badboy, bet OpStar must be dancing a jig coz I've just noticed that this ATi guy's been buying a buncha nV cards.

Doom 3 wasn't a bad game. I won't get into the old "can't hold a gun and a flashlight at the same time" argument either.

To mikeysg: You, my friend, are un upgrading maniac!!! What might I ask, was wrong w/ the x1900xtx that you bought? Oh and how do you like that 7950gx2 monster godlike infinity extreme it can power the space shuttle atlantis vid card?

The deal for the X1900XTX fell thru, so to console myself, I went to the mall to kill some time. I was drawn to this badboy and before I'd realized what had happened, I was signing a CC receipt for this card......made the fatal mistake of bringing my CC along. I hope everyone has learnt a lesson from my 'mistake', I'm a poorer man bcoz of this.....but *sighs* for my fellow Sharks, it's well worth it.

Ouch. Why not just wait until DX10 and tide yourself over in the meantime with, say, a good $300 (or so) card?

Well, I did think of that......but, I didn't wanna wait and I prolly wouldn't wanna get a 1st gen DX10 card coz it's gonna be hot and suck power like a mad mutha. I'd like to wait till 2nd gen DX10 cards are out when, hopefully, all the kinks have been worked out. I figured a 7950 GX2 or X1900XTX would have the 'legs' to go the distance......it's a foregone conclusion that I'd get a DX10 card, just not 1st gen.....

Edit : Gosh guru, sorry for goin' OT....
