also most people buy consoles to play games, not movies. not everyone is technically savvy like us. not everyone knows what xvid or divx is anyways.
ugh... i'm not wild about downloading things i buy. steam was stretching it, but i'm not going to ever buy any movies to "download" especially with the current state of crappiness american broadband is.

    I agree with that.

I bought a few games via direct2drive and I get 5 activations per game. I re-install my OS every month or so, just because I can. Having my activations run out is not a fun thing to go through. I had to crack some of my games to get around this. Lets just say that I will not be throwing my money at Direct2Drive again anytime soon.

    I think you're wrong.

I think the DVD playback capability on these consoles is gimmicky and usually the thing that breaks. I don't like all in one things, if one breaks you're screwed if you want to get it fixed.

Microsofts warrenty is very nice. They overnight you a box, you overnight it back, and they overnight you a new one.

The 360 dvd playback quality is way better then most dvd players ive seen not mention that it upscales now to 1080p which makes it even better.
