    shipping middleman?

hey guys, a while back I remeber someone posted a site that helps people living outside of US buy stuff in the states, ship to a PO box and they ship that to Canada.

Does that ring a bell with anyone?

for example, I can't buy stuff from Newegg, but if the deal is good enough, I'd be willing to pay a little extra for it t be shipped here via a service.

I've known of companies to provide "freight forwarding" services that sound like what you're describing. I've got a feeling that the cost of the service might exceed what you'd save by buying from Newegg, though -- especially when you add shipping costs, GST, customs fees, and duties to the purchase price.

From Toronto, it would be just as easy to set up a mail drop in Niagra Falls or Buffalo for a major purchase and carry the goods through yourself using any returning tourist tax exemption available.

    Check this out: http://www.tsbshipping.com/services.htm

It's in Point Roberts. My friend does this. They'll hold your parcels for a few days and charge u a small fee when u pick up. It's not a PO Box. Just ship it to their address. I know there's also another location in Point Roberts that does this.
