Glad to see you're still making progress. On a completely different note, are the pictures not working for anyone else? I am seeing absolutely no pictures for this (which really sucks).

my old provider (comcast.net) turned off my service.
Now, guess what? I have to repair all of my links to point to the new location of hte graphics. Sorry folks, expect this will take me a little while....
I have a LOT of forums that will need repairing...

Hah, I was wondering. Thanks for the update. Look forward to seeing the pictures to the new stuff I haven't had a chance to look at yet.
And good luck with the updating.

Apologies for the lack of updates. Ankle recovery is nearly completed! (YAY!) ... I took my first "long walk" with the dog in 2 months tonight, everything felt good! I've had a hard time standing for long periods and that has cut severly into my ability to work in the garage as I would like...
So tonight, after my walk, I went out and went to work on the feet. 2 nights ago, I Had done some prep work that consisted of using my adjustable hole cutter and cut out 12 1/8" thick, 2" diameter circles. I am using 4 soft rubber hockey puck replicas as feet for the case. 4 rubber feet, 3 discs per foot... the acrylic layers sandwiched together and layered with weld-on, with a screw through the middle going 1/2" down into the rubber puck.
I then burrowed a 3mm wide hole into the layers of acrylic tonight, and built out 4 single 3mm green LED circuits. Each puck's acrylic layer will have a green LED lighting up the space between the puck and the case. Green (obviously) for the Dallas Stars. I then has a 2" silicone "washer" that is going to lie between the bottom of the case and the tops of these LED's... hoping that this will absorb a bit of the shock of movement, as well as setup an insulating layer electrically between the steel of the case and the 5v LED lines that will be running under the case to a central point.
I lit them all up and they look great! Took some pics but I am a bit too tired to crop and post... this case must be done by Nov. 15th. Obviously sooner, the better. so be on the look out for a blast of updates out of me this comming week and a half! Might just go ahead and bring it down to the Mabry Intel/Dell LAN event and try to get some work on it done there. Depends on how much room I have in the vehicle.... ANYWAYS...
more to come!

I'll have to question if Robidas is 'hard hitting.' Isn't he like 4'8'' tall and weighs about as much as Nicole Ritchie? On the other hand, Morrow....I'd gladly put Morrow on my team.

Hehehe... you are funny!
The nickname we carry for him is "Pocket Hercules", yes he is a smaller guy, but he stops for nobody... and does not back down. I watched him yapping at LaRoque one year... it was really something to behold! The team jumped between the two and pulled him off! It was actually pretty funny. I like to believe they were sparing "Big George's life" rather than "protecting Robi"... but that is my interpretation of what happened!

He is a hard working blue liner that can take a hit and pop right back up. He is quick and relentless, and an excellent team mate. I'll keep him in a heart beat!

Laraque is an ANIMAL!
I saw that the Stars aquired Robeiro in the off season... that should offset his toughness some.
I remember Robeiro dropping (on a questionable, but not bone crushing play) one playoff series when he was with Montreal like he'd been shot.
And in the instant that the ref called the penalty, Robeiro sprig vaulted up and skated off the ice... yammering at the penalized player all the way to his bench.
It was pure comedy and an exhibition of cowardice.
I don't hate the Stars like I used to (when they routinely beat the Oilers in those tight games) but I can't respect a player like Robeiro.

He's actually posting some offensive numbers this year. Dedicated goons have gone out of fashion because they are non-productive (not to mention useless in the playoffs) but Laraque has earned his keep this year.

As far as "goons" go, Laraque actually is one of the better scorers (or has the ability to be).
He has lead the normal "goons" in the NHL in points before.
As an Edmonton fan, I was sorry to see him go.
Not really for the fisticuffs, but because I thought that he added value in two other areas.
1. When you stuck him in front of the net on the powerplay, he was almost impossible to move. Like the Stars used to do with Derian Hatcher. And with the new rules, its even harder to move him as the defenseman cannot fully extend his arms on the cross check anymore.
2. Laraque was a bull with the puck along the boards. He was almost impossible to knock off the puck. While this did not always create scoring chances, it tired the other team trying to check him off the puck, and would change the momentum of the game in Edmonton's favour.
And of course, he was one of the most feared enforcers in the game (his listed weight was like 245 but he was actually closer to 285... I'm not sure why teams fudge the numbers like they do).
I think that the Coyotes did well to get him.
Its not like he's a superstar or anything, but there was areas where he added value to the team.
