    Logitech Mx3100 .. how come so hard/expensive..

Logitech MX3100 cordless desktop.. wireless kybd + MX1000 mouse. it's awesome for gamming with it's lag free response and the many buttons on the mouse

I got mine a year ago around $80 after rebate..

want to get another one for my other system.. but alot of places doesn't seem to sell them no more and if they do they are $110+

is there a reason for that? is there a more updated mx desktop series? (yes I know there's a bluetooth version but I don't want to mess with bluetooth)

    if so what is it?

Most of the decent Combo's with a Laser Mouse are going to be right around $100. I know that Logitech just put the MX Revolution into a combo. I saw it last week but I can't seem to find it today. I not really sure if it's worth it at around $200. If I can find it I'll post it for you! I think your best bet is to go with the MX3100 or the MX3200 at $99.99. I believe the mouse included in this combo is the mx610.

Here is another combo that may work for you, MX3000 Laser for $66.10.
Amazon also has the MX3200 Laser for $79.94.

Sorry, I saw that after I posted it. I've never used Amazon before. I didn't even know the had Used & Refurbished. Again, I'm sorry. I think I paid $80 after rebate for my MX3100 also. Guess if you want another you'll have to pay double that or more.

I also paid $80 after rebate for my first mx3100

the thing is I want a keyboard/mouse wireless combo.

don't want a two wireles receiver dongle on my desktop.

I actually like the Mx3100 mouse design and the design of the keyboard

I'd have to agree with you on the MX3100. I love the mouse and the keyboard isn't too shabby either! I still have the MX700 on my other computer. I also have another wireless mouse that I like better than the MX700 mouse and it's the MouseMan. The MouseMan use to be my favorite mouse until I got the MX1000 in the MX3100 combo. I now have the VX Revolution for my Laptop and it's pretty sweet too. I think I still have all of my Wireless Mice, Keyboards & Combos in my closet in my computer room. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth, all Logitech. Yes, I prefer Logitech Mice over any others I've tried.
