Looks like I probably won't make the Browns my "surprise team" pick next year. They've been my surprise pick two years in a row, since I figured their biggest problems were all been injuries and if they stayed healthy they'd do well, but I've been let down.

Injuries have been a huge problem in years past, but this year it was poor offensive gameplanning, playcalling, and production. Across the board, our offense was pitiful, which we managed to ignore a bit because our defense was producing fairly well. Once we started getting into starting three cornerbacks who weren't on any team at all at the beginning of the season, though, the season took a turn for the worse.

Our defense will probably be better next year; our offense is a long ways away. We need linemen, a QB, and a RB...and maybe another receiver.

The Randy Moss situation is a frigid at best in Oakland. The new (baby faced) coach Kiffin said he would be implementing a "vertical attack that could feature two deep passes per quarter". While this would make Moss happier, I don't think he's happy to be a Raider. As a fan I'm not happy to have him.

It is more likely that it will feature 2 sacks per quarter.

the raiders are only $14 mill under cap, not enough money IMO to sign a #1 pick (more reason to trade down), and get leonard davis in FA for that crap o-line! they need to shore up that line man, and they don't have the $ to do it... I was also hoping they could bolster their #3 ranked defense by going after a big FA linebacker like Adelius Thomas or Lance Briggs.... but it's not to be, it's gonna be another bad year in oaktown and Moss wants none of it.

in other news, Favre wants the pack to trade for Moss.

Oh silly Brett. Although, if anyone could delivery the ball to Moss it may just be him. I can see Moss *****in about broken fingers though.

I don't think Moss has what it takes anymore to be a big threat.

    A-hole in a cutoff sweater...

NEW YORK (AP) -- Former New England Patriots linebacker Ted Johnson said coach Bill Belichick subjected him to hard hits in practice while he was recovering from a concussion -- against the advice of the team's top trainer.

"I told him, `You played God with my health. You knew I shouldn't have been cleared to play,"' Johnson told the Globe.

The Patriots did not allow Jim Whalen, still their head trainer, to comment for this story, according to the Globe.
this guy is the Hitler of football coaches, I wonder what he has in store for LT in the pro bowl since he is coaching the AFC squad... remember, L.T said the patriot's lack of class is due to their coach.... Belichick is a vengeful, grudge holding megalomaniac... I would not put it past him to either completely bench L.T or pay a player to break his leg.

I think saying he would pay a player to break his leg is taking it too far. I wouldn't put benching LT past him, but I think it would be more of a "if he doesn't want to play, I won't do anything at all to try to convince him" than a "I'm pissed so I'm taking him out."

no way, he will take it out on LT....he is a bitter, vengeful guy that goes after his critics with hateful motivation.

Tom Jackson (a player on the 1977-1978 Broncos team on which Belichick coached) claimed that the Patriots were not behind head coach Bill Belichick, saying the following: "Let me say this clearly: they hate their coach." His provocative claim drew fervent denials from the Patriots locker room. Belichick was stunned by the remark and the lack of an apology as the season continued. The Patriots recovered from the Buffalo loss and finished the regular season at a league-best 14-2. After the team was victorious in Super Bowl XXXVIII over the Carolina Panthers, Jackson attempted to shake Belichick's hand. The coach said "Go **** yourself" and gave him the cold shoulder. The post-game interview with Belichick was handled entirely by Chris Berman
In addition, Belichick is sometimes criticized for his demeanor towards the media and towards opposing team’s coaches. In the Patriots’ previous two 2006 regular season matchups against the New York Jets, Belichick gave Jets’ head coach Eric Mangini the "no-look handshake". On January 7, 2007, when the two teams met again in the playoffs, Belichick decided to exchange a congratulatory hug with Mangini, but in the process pushed Boston Globe photographer Jim Davis out of the way. The hug was also seen by some fans and media to be nothing more than a sign of redemption by Belichick after beating his former pupil Mangini, and not done out of respect for Mangini. Jim Rome has often referred to the hug as "The Fake Hug" on his show.
Continuing the controversy over his after-game demeanor, on January 21, 2007, after losing the AFC Championship Game in Indianapolis to the Colts, Belichick seemingly snubbed exchanging post-game remarks with Peyton Manning, who simply patted him on his chest and moved on. Additionally, in a postgame interview with Solomon Wilcots from CBS, as well as at the post-game press conference, Belichick was noticeably terse and short with his answers. Often using only 3 or 4 words to answer specific, football-related questions, Belichick was noticabley anxious and eager to leave the the press conference.
the guy is a bitter loser

Tomlinson said. "When you go to the middle of our field and start doing the dance Shawne Merriman is known for, that is disrespectful. They showed no class and maybe that comes from the head coach."
if he told tom jackson to f himself for saying the pats didn't like their coach I wouldn't put it past him to do something, let's say "not in the spirit of the game" to LT for saying he has no class.
