    Acer & ASUS

I was wondering how good are these two companies because I might decide to purchase a laptop from them. However I heard that Acer laptops crap out a lot and real fast is that true?
The first rule of Fight Club is - you do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is - you DO NOT talk about Fight Club. Third rule of Fight Club, someone yells Stop!, goes limp, taps out, the fight is over. Fourth rule, only two guys to a fight. Fifth rule, one fight at a time, fellas. Sixth rule, no shirt, no shoes. Seventh rule, fights will go on as long as they have to. And the eighth and final rule, if this is your first night at Fight Club, you have to fight.

Asus and Acer build reliable, functional laptops that do their job. They lack the design and polish of notebooks from other OEMs, and will certianly not turn any heads or win any design awards. You can definitely tell their laptops were designed by Taiwanese electrical engineers. Even the Acer Ferrari series, the "super high-end ultra stylish Acer notebook".... looks like it was designed by a Taiwanese electrical engineer.

You save a few dollars by going with Acer/Asus, and you'll certainly have a great laptop. But you might run into problems when it comes to buying accessories (extra batteries, chargers, etc), or if you ever need service / support on your laptop in the US.

Acer laptops are large pieces of ****. The screens are garbage. The batteries suck balls.

    However, they are cheap.
