Personally, I prefer mozilla. Or lynx. Lynx is a great text-only browser I have yet to try opera, although I have heard nothing but good press on it.

I usually stick to the newer releases of Mozilla. It works and looks pretty much the same as Netscape but doesn't have most of the annoying things in it.

My box said "WindowsME/2000 or better" so I installed Linux.

Mozilla is slow as hell on my computer. Practically unusable. However I am delighted with Konqueror, it looks great (no "stupid little fonts" like Netscape 4.7x), it's fast and does everything I need. You just have to install KDE 2.0 to get it. I heard it's gotten even better in 2.1, which will be final by the end of this month. I don't have the time to download the beta, so I'll just wait.

Well, you can try NS6, but if NS 4.7x is pissing you off, just wait until you try to install 6. THe installer program that NS wrote for 6 is ridiculously bad. If there is a slightest hiccup in your connection, you can bet that the installer will crash in the middle of downloading forcing you to start all over again. It took me an average of 25 tries to get it downloaded and installed.

I use Konqueror most of the time. It seems to work fast, and it doesn't have those crappy fonts that Netscape 4.72 has. I also sometimes use Mozilla, although I prefer Konqueror because I find Mozilla to be a little slow. The only problems that I have with Konqueror are that sometimes when I do a search on a WWW site I don't get back any results, instead I just get 'File. Unspecified Error' but maybe that is the fault of the WWW site I am searching at.
The other, more serious, problem with Konqueror that I've come across is that it causes my system to slow to a crawl in certain situations. I was at the Infoseek.com WWW site trying to do a WWW search. I clicked on the 'Search within these results' button and my whole computer slowed to the speed of molasses. My harddrive light lit up, etc. I had to reboot it. I'm not sure why it did this, but this only seems to happen when I'm doing a search at Infoseek using Konqueror. Weird.

Other than that I like Konqueror though.
