trying to build computer
I’m trying to build a computer, need some help making sure everything will work together. I would like to keep the price around 1k I would like to use this computer for gaming/school/bs. All this stuff was found on new egg. I know I’m missing some stuff, but I mainly want to make sure all this is compatible. If someone could look it over, I haven’t really researched anything I just went by reviews and what I remember, so if there is something that is better for about the same price please let me know. Thanks in advance

If you are looking for an AM2 System to build here's some options for you:
1. ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - OEM Item#:N82E16813131013R ($79.99, 15 DAY Return Policy)
2. AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ Windsor 2.8GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor - Retail Item#:N82E16819103771 ($189)
3. CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail Item#:N82E16820145590 ($153, $123 after $30MIR)
4. Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (Perpendicular Recording) ST3400620AS 400GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM Item#:N82E16822148138 ($120)
5. EVGA 256-P2-N636-AR GeForce 7950GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card Item#:N82E16814130074 ($200)
6. Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail Item#:N82E16811129021 ($130)
7. mushkin 550200 ATX12V 550W Power Supply 115/230 V cUL,CE,CB,FCC - Retail Item#:N82E16817812002 ($90)
All this equals up to $932. And if you want to go bigger on your vid card, you could always go with this:
EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail Item#:N82E16814130082 ($279.99, $259.99 after $20MIR)
So total if you did the first way is $961.99 before shipping and rebates, or $931.99 after mail in rebates, before shipping.
If you opt for the 8800 vid card, your totals would be $1041.98 before rebates and shipping, $991.98 after mail in rebates, before shipping.
Thought i'd do some research for you to get you the best bang for your buck. So there's my .02 cents.

Thats an expensive motherboard for what looks like a budget system.
Really consider getting 2 GB or rem and a cheaper motherboard instead.
C2Q 6700 - Asus P5Q turbo
4G RAM OCZ - 1T HD Seagate
Sapphire 4870 512MB - LG DVD RW
Antac 300 - Corsair 550W - Logitech G5

You're spending over $200 on a case and power supply. At least get a cheaper case and spend the money on other components.
