Rebooted router, can no longer open ports

Router is SMC Barricade 7004VBR, using PPPoE to connect to Westell 6100 DSL modem.

I added some additional ports to open, then rebooted it. It stopped responding, and had to unplug it to get it working again.

After it was back up, the specified ports I have fowarded are not open. I suspect there is some IP issues. My Lan IP is still the same as it was, and I have DHCP enabled but on the router status screen it says Number of DHCP clients: 0 and computer IP is not listed.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get ports back open?

I think that the Westell 6100 is a Modem Router combo, so it is not clear why you need a second Router?

Never the less, as far as the SMC goes, since upon reboot you had to unplug the new ports setting probably did not register.

If I recall correctly the SMC Router allows to assign the same IP to the same computer within the DHCP.

So you can make sure that the computer gets always the same IP and the port opening toward this IP would always reach this specific computer.
If you cannot make it work you would have to try a hard reset of the Router (read the manual).

Be warn that after hard reset to have to configure everything including the DSL ID and PW.

I use the router as a firewall plus I have multiple computers on network.

Port forwards are all there, they saved even though I had to unplug router.

Nothing I can find in router admin allows me to assign IPs within the DHCP there is only enable/disable DHCP.

I think a hard reset may be my only route.
