    Picking Laptops, which to choose

    2 Questions:

    1) how does ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 256MB PCI-E Video compare to
    NVIDIA GeForce GO 7600 256MB PCI-Express X16 Video?

    and

    2) Would it be better to have a:
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Mobile T7600 Dual-Core Processor @ 2.33GHz 667FSB 4MB L2 Cache EM64T
    with 4GB (2x2GB) PC5300 DDR2-667 SODIMM Memory

    or

    Sckt775)Intel® Core™ 2 Duo X6800 Extreme Edition @ 2.93GHz 1066FSB 2x2MB L2 Cache EM64T
    with 2GB (2x1GB) PC5300 DDR2-667 SODIMM Memory?

I ask because certain models with higher processor speeds offer less upgrades for mem, while those with lower offer up to 4 gb.

i noticed that my desktop which has 1 GB of ram and a 2.26 runs many games slower and more choppy than my 2 GB ram and 1.8 (duo core) laptop. I know its duo core compared to single, but the games i run and the programs i used were mostly not made to utilize the dual core.

Core Duo all by itself wipes the floor with a P4.

Plus more RAM is always good, but it's not a huge speed boost unless you're starting from nothing.
