Anyone still playing Star Wars Galaxies?

I was talking about SWG to my wife last night, and I must admit I'm tempted to hop on the 14 day trial just to see if anything has changed on it. Does anyone still play this game? I was in the closed beta a long time ago and the game went to hell in a hand basket on release. I migrated over to WoW, but I always thought this one had huge potential. I know they jacked up the whole Jedi thing, but I'm not real current on it's status. Someone please feel free to fill me in.

I heard it went to crap over the years. Player abuse was pretty rampant and they did an entire game overhaul a few years back.
If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.

It always looked appealing to me, I guess mainly because I'm a big Star Wars fan, but I didn't have high speed internet for the longest time.

Now that I do, I've considered trying it out, but all the "bleh" things I've heard about it over the years have stopped me.

Had a lot of fun with this when it first came out. I have to admit it was mainly do to some bugged weapon I found on day 1 of release. When they coded it they had to have screwed up because it was basically 10 times better then anything else around. I could pretty much 1 slash kill anyone in PvP and fight purple cons solo which allowed me to power level and own at PvP.

After a while that got boring, quit and never went back......

Wow, I haven't played this in years. I got out just before they nerfed a bunch of stuff. I thought about starting up again when they included the spaceships and all, but by then I heard it pretty much sucked altogether. It's too bad, as I had really liked the game up until then. I still remember when they came out w/ the pets you could use as mounts. Heh, I bought a bol for some outrageous amt. Ah, those were the days.
