Win2K Upgrade Question

My friend has WinMe and wants Win2K. Can she buy the upgrade package or does she have to get the full installation? There is a $100 difference between the two and she doesn't want to spend more than necessary. Thanks for the input.

Thanks. She saw it at Staples. I guess she doesn't trust them. I know I don't. Tried telling me their generic RAM was better than Crucial...

You can only upgrade to Win2K from Win95, 98, and NT.

You can upgrade from ME, I did, but I really suggest the full version and a clean install.

I too really recommend to a clean install, personally I'd say clean as in Format :c

When I 1st upgraded from 98 I did the easy way and found that alot of old 98 progams, utils, drivers claimed to work, but 2k was unstable as hell. I formated, reinstalled specific 2k drivers, utils, etc and she works great now.

Well I guess I was WRONG the person above says you cann't up grade from ME to 2000 so if that's the case you won't be able to read this because that is exactly what I did. But the first time I have any trouble I'm going to do a format C: and install 2000.
