    ExpressCard

Has anyone used the new format ExpressCard in their notebook? They are supposed to be faster than CardBus and PCMCIA cards.

I'm thinking about an HD/Analog tuner for my notebook. Specifically the AVerTV Hybrid Express.

I haven't used an ExpressCard yet, but I _have_ had a client almost bugger up an HP laptop while trying to force a PCMCIA card into an EC slot (despite the obvious size difference). He broke the dust cover clean off.

He was visibly displeased when I told him his PCMCIA card wouldn't work in the EC card slot.
