You need to make sure you get Core Temp .95 or later. Also make sure the tjunction reads at 100C, some programs report it erroneously as 85C as it was with the dual core models. If it is reading at 85C, add 15 to your temp readings to arrive at the actual number.
As for the memory, if you can get your hands on a matched set of four 2GB sticks, you should be alright at 3.4GHz. If you want insane bus speed, you should probably look elsewhere. There aren't too many 4x2GB kits out there and most are DDR2-667 or DDR2-800 CL5. Not exactly the best overclocking stuff.
