    I was running Spybots 1.5.1 just today... and noticed that 60% of my dual-core X2 were being used at most times!! So added that...

    there's an article at anandtech about multi core performance w/ UT3 showing a nice performance gain for quad core over dual, and huge gains from dual over single core

    The latest version of dbPoweramp (v12) is multithreaded and can encode several tracks simutaneously using multiple cores.

    I know quake 3 is multithread if you use the r_smp "1" command and I believe that goes for any other games that use the quake 3 engine (Cod, JK2, RTCW etc etc)

    not that you would even need half a modern core to run quake3
