In Cleveland you can be lynched for saying that.

Heh, yeah I bet things get a bit testy back east, where bitter rivals are closer together geographically. SF is like a 10 hour drive from here.

No...Clevelanders hate the Ravens almost more than the Steelers. That whole Art Modell deal and all.

Yeah, i wasn't even thinking of that when I posted. No one deserves to lose a team, what a gut-punch that must have been.

We swept them last season, actually, which probably ushered in the firing of Brian Billick. Even if it didn't, it was nice.

both games were to nil? i thought ravens first game they got 7?

i do love billick, hes a great coach, packers should hire billick as qb coach but i doubt he'll take the paycut for it (2million for just a position co-ord? naaaah)

and fitzgerald re-signed with the cards, thats good, just need a shutdown cb and some good stratergies and theyre good to go!

cleveland need some strength in defense, in safeties and the ends!!

Naw, we didn't shut them out either time; just winning against them both times was bad enough for them. The second time was Phil Dawson's "No Good/Good/*** Just Happened?" kick that bounced off the scutcheon and back in to the field of play.

Detroit released Kevin Jones among others. Are there any players in Detroit who were... drafted by Detroit?? Seems like they've cut them all.

    -- Jones was a first-round pick in 2004 while Edwards was a second-rounder in 2002.

--- Two second-round choices -- linebackers Boss Bailey (2003) and Teddy Lehman (2004) -- left the team as free agents. The Lions made no effort to try to re-sign them.

--- Second-round pick Shaun Rogers (2001) was traded to the Cleveland Browns.

--- First-rounders Joey Harrington (2002), Charles Rogers (2003) and Mike Williams (2005) are long gone.

--- From the 2002 draft, the Lions have one player remaining (fifth-rounder John Owens, who has bounced around the league). From the 2003 draft, the Lions have one player remaining (Cory Redding). The Lions do not have a starter on the roster, other than Roy Williams, from the 2004 and 2005 drafts.
I repeat The Lions do not have a starter on the roster, other than Roy Williams, from the 2004 and 2005 drafts. Ridiculous. I'm still a fan, but much less than in previous years. When (not if) this keeps up I will eventually not be a fan any longer.

Fortunately for myself, I live in Dallas.

Unfortunately for myself, I can't walk 3 steps without running into a rabid Cowboys fan that can't understand how I could possibly have grown up in Texas and not like them.

I feel you on that...I'm in the middle of Browns country, but it's also Buckeyes country, and I hate all things Ohio State.

I'm hoping the Browns take a look at Kalimba Edwards.

Ouch. Just think of how good the Lions could be right now if Millen could run a draft.

They wanted him last year or the year before, I can't remember. I would stay away unless you got him cheap and werent looking for him to start.
