    Inspiration and tips appreciated ....

    Hi all,

Ive had quite a few used cases for a while just piling up. Often thought about modding them completely making new cases. Some may not be suitable but i have a few atx and midi cases ... Below is a pic of about seven of them, I have a few more scattered around ....

Im just looking for some inspiration for designs. Ive done small modding before but havnt attempted anything like this. The only design ive thought of so far is an aquarium-like design for one case ...

Also since im new to hacking cases up i could really do with some tips from more experienced sharkies on techniques and tools ...

    Thanks in advance ....

First off lets talk about tools.

If you plan on cutting you should invest in the following.
Dremel, Jigsaw, Files. There are plenty more to make things easier but those should get you started.
You should also read the How-To's posted in the Sticky above.

Now here is a good idea.
Do you have Nephews, Nieces, Kids? If so pick a Theme, Favorite Color, Cartoon, Game etc. Then Mod the Case and give away as a Gift to them.

Its not hard to make a simple MOD. Side Panel Window, Custom Paint. Then help them build a PC in the new case. Done that with my Nephew and Nieces and they loved it.
