A friend of mine has these things up on eBay (can't list price since the auctions are not finished - so get a bid in), and he asked me to put them up here. Looks like some good stuff which will go cheep (and he tested most of them):

There's no official rule (that I can find) against it, but it is highly frowned upon, especially since the forum does not allow auctions here. The point is that you're selling to your community - you're not looking to start a price war and get the most money you can from fellow members, but to help them get something they need for a reasonable price.

    eBay links

Before I posted, I looked to see if posting eBay links was allowed, and I couldn't find anything.

I have bought from eBay, and found a lot of great deals, so I personally don't think letting people know that there might be a part/product that may sell for a low price - is a sin just because it is an ebay auction.

Still, if it is not allowed then I would not do it.

If I offended anyone, I am very sorry.

It's because without very close supervision bidding in a forum because very messy and unfair. It's not the purpose of the forum, and even not the for sale forum to be running auctions. This is why everyone jumps on ebay auctions whenever they see them. I'd probably lean on the side of not allowing them just so we could stay at a fixed price in the forum, never any confusion or "unneeded drama".

However, if you were going to argue it, I suppose you could say that since it is ebay moderated and on a fixed time limit, it is fair for all parties who may be involved.

But again, it's not the purpose of this forum to advertise ebay accounts. Tough call.

Seeing as how it isn't deleted yet, I'd say it's fair game. You didn't do anything actually wrong, it's just kind of frowned upon - an unclear area in the rules.

The mods must be slow on this. Usually ebay links get deleted.

Hey! Quit complaining. Tikifragalong is a nice person. I would have him (or her) over for chicken one Sunday if I could find him (or her). Belly up to the bar and be nice. We're only here for just a single short lifetime. He's (or She's) just trying to get along and help out a friend. Your mama taught you to be nicer than that. Santa is watching you!

eBay linking is not allowed. I have only killed the links, but left the descriptions in tact. Rules require that prices be posted, but I'll leave the post in tact until you have time to contact your friend so he can either set prices, or opt to remove them from here.
