looks like all that dreadful product activation stuff that only lets you install xp on 1 machine has been cracked

IMHO microsoft never should have put so much time and money into stopping crackers/software pirates thinking they could win. it will be a pain in the *** for honest consumers who purchase the software legaly and at the same time do nothing to stop resourceful warez kiddies. i'm sure this is only the beginning, i'm willing to bet there will be even easier ways to crack Xp by teh time its out.

The funny thing about this is there are already cracks AND THE FINAL VERSION IS NOT OUT YET. Microsoft can't even stop pirating of the beta, and release candidates

You do realized that we doing microsoft home work. When crackers creat a crack microsoft change it and see if what they did will work better then before. But i will have to admit i never thought that the crack was going to be that easy. Microsoft might as well desable the activate all together.

Those crackers are doing Micorosoft marketing, too since they show the hope to counteract Microsoft.
They should withhold everything until official XP release. Wait for the sale slump, and complaints mounting. Then release the crack. They will be the saviour at that moment and Microsoft will an ugly monster.

It doesn't matter to me.
As far as I'm concerned, XP is simply M$ way of resigning from the creation of OS's.
I will NEVER buy any software with such hostile attributes.
This is terminal stupidity by M$, f**k em'
