Hey I've got the same modem you do

I currently use Earthlink (free for me) and they seem to be fine, but just about any other ISP will work. Before you sign up, just confirm that you don't need any special software to make it work (like AOL, Netzero, etc). Just ask them for a local POP, what format your username needs to be in (for example earthlink requires your full email address), DNS servers, and mail servers.

Once you have all that information, setting up the dial up is a breeze.

    Thanks,

I just got this modem as a hand-me-down from someone that was scared of opening her computer so she bought external.

I have always used my p.o.s. winmodem while i was at home, and at school I always used some sort of broadband connection (T1, T3 , and DSL)

I will give earthlink a shot before I head back to school (we are doing cable this year)

When you get your account, let me know and I'll give you all the settings you need. I do Earthlink tech support (why I get a free account) so I can recite the settings in my sleep.

It is free if you use someone else's account....as in my parent's account that I use while I am home from school for the summer.
