Sweet Gaming rig for Less than 1,000

I am a hardcore PC gamer and was thinking about building a new rig and since I am on a small budget I threw this baby together. It will be the first machine I have both built and selected on my own. I know there are a lot of you much more knowledgable than I so any input would be great. My big concern is that components wont interface well. Most of these components were also recomended by PC Gamer. Thanks for any suggestions!

ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard
Was planning on using the onboard audio, that should be decent enough right?
    $190

    AMD Phenom 9850 BLACK EDITION 2.5GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Processor
This CPU would work well with my mobo right? Was just going to use the included CPU fan rather than get another more efficient one...That ok?
    $205

    MSI NX8800GTS 512M OC GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
    $180

    G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
What do you think of this RAM?
    $80

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKB 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 Hard Drive
    $85

    Antec TPQ-850 850W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CUL, FCC, TUV, CE, C-tick, CCC, CB
    Is this too much juice?
    $140

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
    $120

Welcome to Sharky Forums. The parts you listed look pretty good and should work well together. I haven't been a AMD Fanboy for a few years but they are still pretty solid.
850W is good. There can never be to much Power (Future Upgrades).
RAM - I like the Corsair XMS brand but G. Skill is well known and should be fine.

Now lets talk about Modding that ANTEC 900 Case, any future palns in that department? If so feel free to post what you plan and provide some PICS.. We love it when folks Customize their cases and hardware..
