    How to make Windows XP use military time

    I need to know how to make Windows XP use a 24-hour system. Thanks much!
    CASE: Antec P180 | CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme X6800 | M/B: BFG 680i SLI Motherboard (BIOS P26)
    Memory: Corsair Dominator DDR800 (2 x 1 Gig) Video: BFG Nvidia 8800 GTX | HD: 150 Gig Raptor

    Mine uses 24-hour time by default
    Then again, it's a German version.

    "go to "start" > "Control Panel" > "Regional and Languages Options"...under
    the "Regional Options" tab, click on the "Customize..." button > click on
    the "Time" tab and in the "Time format:" dropdown menu, select HH:mm:ss to
    get military time...then click "OK" and then "OK" again out of the windows.

    I do not know if the computer needs to be restarted to take effect."

    All of a sudden, Windows switched to military time on my computer!! These instructions helped to return it to normal, thanks! Very bizarre though...

    Did the date reset too? Might be a CMOS battery on the way out.

    Mine just did it too....not sure what that was all about. But this thread helped me set it back right!!! thanks guys...it had me scratching my head
