RETURN THE GAME!!! This is not worth 50 dollars, wait for it to drop down to 20 or so (which will happen quite soon IMO.) Its only good if there is nothing else to do. I am highly disappointed so far.

I'm presently playing FC2 and Dead Space, take the latter if a refund's not possible. Dead Space's way more enjoyable than FC2, the atmosphere, the sound design and gameplay plus the HUD has me hooked. It's bloody and gory, all the things us growing 'boys' need......

ya, what he said. FC2 will drop in price fast, once the over-hype is done.
I have a feeling Dead Space prolly wont have a price drop anytime soon.
I'm sure if you wait 6 months, you'll get FC2 in the bargain bin for 15.99 $

That's great and all, except for those of us that despise 3rd person shooters.

I'm with Unforgiven on this one, but i think I will still buy Dead Space for my PS3 anyways.
    I have 2 issues with third-person views

    1) not as "immersive" as first-person view...you feel like an observer, not a participant.
    2) the third-person view blocks more scenery
    3) usually the controls suck for third-person view games on a PC.

If it's a good game it's not so important. aka jedi knight, max payne and .... well that's it really. I much prefer first person myself as well.

And far cry 2 isn't that bad if you like games like Morrow wind where you walk around a lot, except you have jeeps and guns and instead of orcs and stuff like that, you shoot black guys. Actually, I was on this one mission and I was hiding I over heard them talking about be, trying to find me. One of the guys sounded like Shrek, total Scottish accent. LOL.

It's kind of wierd never having loading screens except when you die, even on morrow wind you had loading screens when you go in a cave or a house but not on FC2. It really is just one HUGE map.

I trust in what you profess. I am anxiously awaiting Fallout 3..that's where my dollars go right now. Maybe xmas time COD5 or FC2 will plummet in price on steam or something.

the game is pretty enjoyable for me...I don't get as sick anymore (minor headache) now that I got the fov mod...I don't know where you guys are getting the takes forever to kill people thing...to me it takes slightly more bullets to kill in other games but it doesn't seem that bad...

finally it's just kind of cool to go wherever and do whatever...the respawning is a bit annoying though...I wish they had it so the npcs repopulate by like driving to the location or helicopter or something

One thing I don't like about travelling all over is that when you back track the gaurd post that you just cleared has enemy in them again. I mean, it was fun cleaning out the first few outposts, I think I scouted 7 out of 57 but when you have to do the same one over and over it's boring.

One Time, I cleaned out that camp with tin shacks, it was where you had to destroy some gangs equipment. Killed everyone, destroyed the equipment and I drove out. I realized I was driving the wrong way (because that map is backwards) I turned around and just like 2 minutes later there where more people to kill in that camp.

Earlier I came across some grow op with green houses, I killed everyone there and was pretty happy but now I know that if I have to go back there, there will be more people to kill.

You see I was hoping I could kill every single person on the map

Is there a fix for the lack of proper widescreen support? Everywhere I read they say it's been "Bioshocked".
