E-Machine w/ Vista
I got an e-machine w/ Vista but when I opened everything, there was no software with it. Is there a way I can get a copy of Vista in case of a crash or am I screwed? I had no idea these computers don't come with cd's anymore.

You probably have a recovery partition....Look in the manual Some recovery partitions allow you to create OS cd's.

Yeah, you should be able to create recovery media from an application within your Start menu. Usually, with eMachines, it's Recovery Center (simply type "recovery" in the search bar at the bottom of your start menu).
Gateways (and eMachines by extension) used to come with an operating system disc, and all you had to create was an applications and drivers recovery disc. As Acer has taken control of Gateway, I've seen Gateways require full recovery media creation. Perhaps eMachines computers have gone this same route.

Lol meat, agreed!
Anyway artemus, go to start, then you can back up vista on to dvd's in the current configuration. You need three empty DVD's and a couple spare hours to wait.
However should you re-format in the future, these install discs will do everything automatically for you, almost!

I put Vista on my nieces 600 mhz emachine with 192 mb pc ram, it has a sticker on the tower that says "made for windows 98". It was WAY TOO slow, so I put on XP pro and it's still slow but she likes it. Now this latest time she brought it to me I put on win 98 and it was lighting fast but she couldn't hook up to the internets and she brought it back... now I have to put on xp pro again, and anti virus and office..
These people are rich and they have a total crap pcs like that.
