Question FF update has to go

How can I keep Firefox from installing the latest update? Whenever it gets installed the browser acts strangely. And how can it be uninstalled?
Dell 8300, XP Home, GeForce FX5200, HR MicroDAC audio and Swans M200 MKII
    IBM T60 Thinkpad

Tools --> Options. Click Advanced and choose the Update tab. From there you can disable the automatic update check or configure FireFox to ask you what to do if updates are found.

I don't know of a way to uninstall an update.

    Google "Previous versions of FireFox".

How is it "acting strangely"? I've never had a problem with Firefox updating itself on any of the machines I use or manage, ever.
