Thats an insane vantage score

It really seems to LOVE LOVE LOVE dual gpu's and fast quad cores dosent it? Or mabey something is wrong with mine lol. somehow your cpu score is radically higher than mine. like unaturally higher. so is your gpu score lol. ive checked my gpu with other benchmarks for my card and im actually 900 points higher on a better system (good oc) but does just having another vid card add another 10k?

Nope, absolutely nuthin's wrong with yours. Even my C2Q QX9650 @3.9ghz cannot match his OC'ed i7 920. Vantage seems to love the newer cores....

On a side note, my vid card can take one hell of a beating with vantage-i can oc the CRAP out of it and run the entire benchmark......speeds that make 3dmark06 freeze or restart the comp within 20 seconds. really bizarre actually. had my card at 860/2050/2650 without a hitch...odd

I did note while slowly pushing up the Bclk that the oc seemed to gain marks faster than any other cpu I had benched (probably because of the 8 threads, 3dm06 and vantage favor multi-cpu systems) -- although it was linear. The dual vidcards only added, this is a guess, about 10 - 15% to the total (can't say for sure because I was slowly bumping up the oc on the vidcards at the same time as Bclk, I know, a mistake

). And yes to whoever said or implied it, it is much easier to run 3dmvantage at high OCs than 3dm06. The second cpu test in vantage is tough to run, I needed a higher Vcore on vantage than 3dm06, but overall, 3dmvantage is easier to complete.

EDIT: If you have an nVidia gpu(s) and leave PhysX on, you'll score much higher, but it'll be marked in the ORB as an illegitimate bench. I guess to be fair to AMD/ATI fans, don't flame me on this. Reading the note from Futuremark led me to this conclusion. My score would be at least 2 - 3,000 points higher with PhysX turned on. This is due to the rather extensive PhysX tests in the bench. I guess Futuremark figured ATI and nVidia would be all over PhysX, but that stopped when nVidia bought them out.

I hear Nvidia is helping ATI implement it in their cards though, possibly it would get opened up then.

Well, let's hope so, it'll level the playing field somewhat.

Yeah I haven't even logged on in 1-2+ years lol. I really need to update the stats

BTW, with your OCing ability and that rig in your sig, you'd prolly royally kick my butt in '05, '06 and Vantage.

Not sure about that you do still have dual GPUs. A few runs in vantage but nowhere near done

2k3 was about 61k
2k6 was about 19.2k

Done in windows 7 so maybe could get more in vista. I have a feeling they can pull more power out of the 285 with drivers as well

no we dont want to know how it performs. I WOULD LIKE TO STAY IN THE TOP 5 IN 06. btw anyone noticed im the only one with 1 gpu in the top 5.
