Denver's first rounder is getting farther away from "top five" every week.
Stupid Dallas.

As should be expected ever since Shanahan started using a 2 or 3 running back setup every week. This virus (and I'm talking for fantasy football only here) has spread throughout the whole NFL now. Oh well, its better for the players in real life.

And I was just about to drop Edwarsds in my money league! Good thing I didn't. I'll give him a couple weeks on my bench so he can get used to the Jets system but then I'm sure he will be a great threat at WR once again

I was pretty close to dropping him in the Sharky league. He should be good in two weeks or so... I hope.

Something fishy is happening in my money league. A guy offered me Braylon for Kellen Winslow and I said "yeah why not" and clicked Accept, but the trade never went through, and then news of the trade broke out. Now he's trying to trade me some other stuff for the guy and I think he's gonna be a bust regardless of where he plays.
I'm still pretty pissed about that weird trade malfunction though. I don't think I'm gonna play with this group of guys next year, always seems like something fishy going on.

the trade may have been rejected by a league vote or by the commisioner himself. That is one thing that as a non-commish player you MUST pay attention to as one person may try to stack another team to win the pot. Don't get busted for not knowing!

Nah, it wasn't rejected by league vote, but I don't know if the guy I traded is the league commissioner or not. I'm pretty sure he's not since my buddy handles all the money and what not, but it's odd that at first he said he withdrew the trade, to which I said "why didn't I get a withdrawl notice, and why would you withdraw it 2 minutes after offering it, long before any sort of trade news?" and then he said I rejected it and forwarded me the supposed rejection email. Which would was odd, since when I clicked "Accept" I also typed in "I don't like Edwards but I need a bye week replacement, and I'll probably regret this, but...". And the supposed rejection email didn't have that line like it always does, and it got the outcome wrong too.
But even if the guy isn't commissioner I'm pretty sure he has the commissioner login since I know he handles a lot of stuff at draft time.
Either way it's left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm gonna look for a new FF money league next year. It's unfortunate that now that I'm back in Canada finding people who watch football is few and far between, let alone the number who would play high stakes fantasy.

I watched part of the Giants-Oakland game.
I can't BELIEVE just how bad Russell is. The guy looks like he has no place in this league.
I had thought that he was a longshot at #1 overall... considering how many top drafted QBs fail in this league and it looks at this point that it has been validated.
Unlike Eli Manning whom I thought had a chance to be decent, I think that Russell has ZERO chance.
I had thought that the Raiders should have drafted Calvin Johnson 1st overall... he was a FREAK coming out of college... and should have stuck with Dante Culpepper. At least Culpepper had shown that he could play at ONETIME in his career.
Raiders also could have had Pederson that draft as well.
I think that Al Davis has ruined that team. I can't see them ever being good again with him in control.

Agreed; tanking for high picks only works if you bother to draft good players.

Pats blew out the Titans
And Raiders surprised the Eagles...Russell actually completed 60% of his passes!

I feel for the Eagles. The injuries are just killing them and they have no running game to speak of. Sounds like another team I know...
Meanwhile is anyone going to beat the Saints? Or Vikings?

The Vikings? Baltimore should've beat them today. To say that no one can beat them when it came down to a rare miss on a 30 yard field goal for a kicker is kind of off-base. The guy probably makes that kick 90% of the time, and today he missed. The Vikings fell apart in the 4th quarter and hardly looked unstoppable.
The Saints on the other hand put a serious hurting on the Giants, the team I thought was unstoppable this year. They shut down Eli something fierce.

The Giants defense is in trouble. The 2 teams they played with talent on offensive put a whooping on them. Dallas ran the ball all over them and the Saints pretty much did whatever they wanted to. The pass rush is not there like it has been and the secondary is being exposed.
Lossing Philips hurts a lot, that kid was playing good and has pretty much unlimited upside. I cannot stand the Giants but i hope he comes backa nd has a good career.
