"Watches You Sleep" Shark
So here's a thought...I'm thinking about trying to change the audio files. I want to replace the soldiers files with audio files of the engineer from TF2.

That was Easy.
If only getting the initial host game to connect was like that.

Has got that jut
Anybody else not like talk being on all the time? I personally think push to talk is superior in basically every way possible. I have it mapped to a thumb button on my mouse in TF2 so I never skip a beat, I hate to have to take my hand off the keyboard and take a break in the action to hit the mute button on my headset.
I don't play many FPS online, but this is the first game I can think of that has talk always on (or at least doesn't provide an option for push to talk).

We didn't have any problems getting everyone in a game. I hosted, invited my friends, and there they were.

Talk being always-on is fine on the 360 when I can just mute the line at will, but on PC its a bit silly. Our group disabled voice chat via the .ini file and we've just been using Ventrilo. If you guys want to hop on our Vent server to do the same, feel free, I know Taggart has the info, just please keep the server info to SF people and friends - I don't want it to become some public fustercluck. I set up 4 Borderlands group channels but I can set up more if need be. If you need the info and Taggart isn't around to share, hit me up on Steam (DooM://Kamakazie) and I'll set you up.
Steps to disable in-game voice chat:
Open My Documents\My Games\Borderlands\WillowGame\Config\WillowEngine.ini
Find bHasVoiceEnabled=True
Replace this with bHasVoiceEnabled=False

Its a side effect from the 360 and PS3 conversion.
The whole chat part was very poorly done. There no way to disable it in game, you can't bind a key to chat, and you can even adjust the sensitivity. So many times I would hear only bits and piece because the mic kept cutting out.
The lack of anti-aliasing is also a joke.

For you PC users this is worth checking out:

Some PC fixes you can do to the ini file like disable chat, adjust head bob, and disable the console mouse smoothing.

Is XP shared in co-op just like money is? I'm not sure if everybody always shares or if you only get XP from enemies you get at least one shot in on. The XP gained popup seemed inconsistent for me so it was hard to tell.

I'll be playing a good amount with some local people I know, plus I'll probably join in on some groups over at GAF, so I don't really want to be managing multiple voice chat options. May keep it in mind for just Sharky games, though.

om nom nom
Played this with a friend on split-screen last night. It was fun, though checking inventory, quests, and the map got annoying because of the small screen real-estate. Can you only drop items and not ammo? There were times when we ran out of ammo for a gun, while the other person had ammo but wasn't using that gun, i.e. I had sniper ammo but no sniper rifle.

Indeed it is shared just like $$. You can get XP just from standing around doing nothing... though I don't recommend it.

Mr Zurkon is here to kill
I played for 10 minutes and got an instant headache. You can apparently change the FOV though the ini settings, which I'm going to do when I get home. I saw some comparison screenshots and it looks like it'll make a pretty big difference.
