Wow is it hard being a Redskins fan. They are awful beyond belief.
Such a proud and consistently good organization throughout the 80s' reduced to ashes.
The hardest think is that with an owner like Snyder it'll never get better. Rotten from the top on down.
I'm also sick of lack of consistency in the officals calls in the NFL... it seems that they definitely favour the better teams.
That one non call of roughness when the Redskins ball carrier was out of bounds and the Philly player threw him down MORE THAN well out of bounds... I've seen that same play called "roughness" only about a bazillion times. And I expect to see that exact same play called differently in many other games this year. Drives me crazy. NFL needs to decide which way to call it and then STICK TO IT! Somebody needs to hold the NFL accountable for that (owners, coaches, players, fans). Ridiculous.

Desean single-handedly cost me a fantasy win this week.
I had a huge lead until those couple of big plays he ripped off on the skins. $%^#.

I got all of 56 points in my money league, lol... putting me at 2-5. My opponent got 130 points, for reference of where I SHOULD be at. Ahh, what a waste of money. I really need to give up fantasy football, I suck at it. Won the sharky game though, thanks singlehandedly to the pickup of Miles Austin, who seems outrageous right now.

I expected it to be called when it happened, and I was surprised when it was not. For consistency reasons it should have been. I always thought for the late hit rules the refs should be able to use judgment to determine if there was intent behind it or not. Many times I have seen momentum play a big part of a late hit. A player should not be called for a late hit if he is in the air while the QB is throwing a ball, for instance, and ends up hitting him. But I have seen that called many times.

Completely agree.
I think that the Philly player had to have known how far out of bounds that they were when he threw him down. It would have been the easiest thing in the world for him to have not thrown him down.
Was of no consequence that game. The 'Skins were going to lose anyways.
But I see inconsistent calling all the time in the NFL where one call DOES make or break a game. And in those situations, it's just a shame.
I have thought that this inconsistency has been a growing problem in the NFL for years now... but that non call in the 'Skins game was really a no brainer. The announcers were even commenting on it, even though I think that their natural tendancy is to usually come to the defence of the officiating.
I think that it's equally ridiculous... as you mention... when a player is flying through the air with zero ability to stop himself and gets called for "roughing the QB" or something like that.

Look...the same Eagles Team that could not scrore a TD against the Raiders put up 40 on the Giants. Imagine that, all it took was a balance of running and passing. And they did not even have Westbrook.

I love reading comments from Eagles fans about Andy Reid, always great for a laugh. (I see a lot of them on my Flyers board)

Don't get me wrong...for the most part he has been awesome for the last 10 years. But he has some glaring flaws. Its sometimes like there are 2 Andy Reids, Good andy and Bad Andy.
Good Andy is one of the top 2-3 coaches in the league monday through saturday. Great talent evaluator, great at drafting, can break a opposing defense apart designing plays, ect. Runs a great camp too.
Bad Andy calls way to many passes, cannot adjust a gameplan on the fly, and is horrible with timeouts and in 2 minute situations. They get away with it a lot because they are loading on offense and the man can, as i said earlier, break a D down. But every year there are a few games, Raiders this year, Bengals last year, the Osi 6 sack game the year before last, that are a result of playing right into the defenses hands and only giving them 1 thing to take away.
I will take the bad with the good, because he does put a winning team on the field almost every year.

Loved that the 'Phins kicked the crappy Jets in the stomach again yesterday and took their lunch. Jets can talk smack and can beat the 'Pats (at least one time) but can't beat the 'Phins.
Love how Porter got into Rhodes head. I wonder what it is exactly that Porter says to opponents to infuriate them?

This reminds me of the Hawks during the Holmgren era. I think he and Reid are related. Mike was a great coach but he didn't adapt to squat and everyone has his playcalling figured out by now. 3rd and 8? Draw play, naturally.
Hey, we got Trufant back finally!! Not that it mattered...

What is so frustrating is you would think, after a balanced game like yesterday, that something would click and he would get it.
Over the past 5 years or so, when Philly has a balanced gameplan, their offense has been pretty much unstoppable.
