DirectX problem
I can`t load 3D Mark A on my Win 7 HP, because it keeps saying some other program is using it and that a 3dx_26.dill is missing i have tried windows repair, reinstalling DX10. no go i also turned everything running off. I hope i don`t have to reinstall windows. any ideas.

Were you sober when you typed your post  3dmark06 or Vantage? 32 or 64-bit Win 7? Most common error is missing OpenAl32.dll. If you need that go here: http://connect.creativelabs.com/deve...20Windows.aspx

lonewolfroger: Load netframe 1.1 from the MS download page. I had the same problem when I built rig 1 below. I had Vista 64. Just did a clean install of Win 7 pro. Neither puts NetFrame 1.1 in natively and it's needed for 3d Vantage etc. let me know if that corrects it.

That's odd; I had no problem with that on either Vista 64-bit nor Win 7 64-bit. I needed to separately install OpenAL32.dll on each for 3dm06 though.

I have Netframe 1.1 loaded because it is needed with DDO.

I downloaded the d3dx10_36.dll and put it in system 32, still the things says its still missing. How do i find out what version of directx i`m running on win7 home premium 64bit. I give up, it won`t even install directx runtime, i get system error, i`m about ready to reinstall windows. My luck i`ll still have the problem.

I finally got it to work, had to do a complete sweep of the hard drive and i got a full version of win7 home premium 64 and installed it, 3dmark went right on. My scores are at stock speeds, 3DMark score E29847, GPU score 40574 and my CPU score was 16645. Is this about right. This is 3DMark Vantage.

What were you using for vidcards? Link to ORB?

It is windows 7 64bit, and it is 3DMark Vantage, i like taking short cuts.
Will try it out thanks. I installed it and 3Dmark still won`t load keeps saying it is missing a 3dx10_36.dll O`well as long as my games run alright i don`t care. Thanks
