    Question Color quality on monitor

For the same resolution will colors be better on a smaller monitor, the same way text is sharper?

You might think you see better color or shaper text on smaller, cheaper TN panels, but in truth it depends on the monitor's dot-pitch and panel type. S-IPS panels have the largest color palette, closely followed by S-PVA, and then TN panels.

OS-Wiz is correct - the color quality of a monitor depends more on the LCD technology used (S-IPS, S-PVA, TN, etc), the brightness, and the contrast ratio. The size of the screen and/or the resolution don't really play a part.

unless you play alot of fast pace FPS games I would stay away from a TN monitor like a girl that has a kid.

no matter how nice it looks it or how cheap is you are getting inferior quality.

ohh wait what are we talking about again?

I'm never going to buy another LCD that isn't IPS, unless maybe it's for a server or something.

color-impaired vision is in some ways a boon, not least because I don't have to get my panties in a twist about TN panels.

    Mine: Core i7-920 + Xigmatek S1283 // Gigabyte UD4P // gigabyte windforce hd6870 // 3x2GB Corsair DDR3-1333 // Antec 900 V2 // Corsair TX750 // WD 640GB Cav. blue // Samsung TOC T240 24"

    kids: PhII 550 BE (quad unlocked) + freezer pro 64 // Gigabyte UD2H // 2x2GB Corsair DDR3-1600 // CM Centurion 5 // gtx260-216 // Corsair HX620 // WD 640GB Cav. black // some 22" monitor
