Our 3 year old hp crappolia just kicked the bucket, I need new parts for it ASAP, I will be canabilizing it for parts, all I will need is going to be:
PSU (possibly 2)
Motherboard
Case (the one is a crappy hp case)
RAM
Processor
Video card (i have an older one, so this can wait, they are a 9800 and 9500)
I have cd/dvd drivs, as well as the HD, keyboard mouse, monitors and speakers. they are all fine. If i missed anything, bring it to my attention.....
I need something that is going to be somewhat good, play games well, and preferably be under 500-600. 700 is max

Odds are you'll need an OS....Once you switch away from the HP mobo your current one probably won't work.

Ok, well, its not my computer, its my parents. My dad wanted to try to replace the power supply, which had died, (the computer was working, then wasnt, wouldnt turn on, nothing) we replaced the PSU, started the computer up, and now it seems the video card is dead (the screen is black, the monitor gets no signal). The computer starts up fine, has power and everything, I have triple checked my power connections, with no success, the video card has power, but wont turn on (the card itself has no power connection from the PSU, it gets its power from the motherboard)
My question is, When the PSU died, could it of knocked out the motherboard or video card as well? or am I just missing something? both look to have power, and seem to run fine otherwise, I just have no video to the monitor.
