Well I've played a good 8-10 matches so far. Still I just cannot get over how many bullets it takes to kill. The AEK is useless. I'll fire two clips of it straight into someone who isn't even moving and he still doesn't die. So I like to choose the medic class the most. I'll fart around and heal people and spot enemies. And for the most part just try to stay out of the enemies vision. It's funny though even when I'm shooting at someone I sit there hitting Q to spot them over and over, and yet it still doesn't spot them most the time. Am I doing something wrong here? I mean my aim is good and I play FPS on a daily basis something just isn't right. Guess I just gotta play more and figure it out.

They're not dying because you're probably not hitting them very much. You have to fire an assault rifle like the AEK in bursts. The exception being if they are right next to you. The AEK is a pretty weak gun though, the XM8 you get right after it is pretty good though. Once you get that, you really don't get a clearly better assault rifle until you get the AN-94 and M416.

So sitting there smashing on Q while shooting at someone is useless? If so that would be awesome to know.
Or do you mean that when you spot someone the spot lasts for 2 seconds?

You can spot and hit at the same time, tricky in teh heat of battle but very helpfull.

If you score a spot, then there is no cooldown. You get the cooldown if you hit Q 2 times without a spot. I generally hit Q quite a bit without being zoomed in and you will be amazed at the triangles that will pop up way off in the distance and that will give you someone to shoot at that you didn't even see. Just get in the general area and spot away. If you don't spot anyone two or 3 times in a row..then you get nailed with the cooldown.

They need to boost the assault player stats seriously, make the guns have more punch.

Assault players using guns?! What game are you playing?? Every game I play, the assault classes use the grenade launcher 90% of the time.

I think you are confusing BC with MW2 lol. Unless you are a room camper, then yeah you are gonna see a lot of launchers used against you.

I'm primarily an assault player and I shoot people all the damn time. I break out the nades when I absolutely need to kill someone in one shot or if I need to blow away a wall.

I have no problem killing people with the assault class using the AN-94 and the M416, magnum ammo helps though.

I've unlocked everything for Assault and Engineer so I'm mainly playing Medic and I'm starting to play some Recon. I don't snipe though, I usually load up the Saiga-20 or the G3 and C4.

I'm not to big on the Arica Harbor Conquest expansion map, it feels too small for lots of players. I think my absolute favorite for Conquest is probably the Panama Canal map with Atacama a close second.
