I might have to go for Fallout3. As much as I like the standalone (I'm a sucker for the achievements) 24.99 to get all 5 expansions is worth it.

I bought Oblivion. I played it, but only a little bit and without any add ons.

Ended up buying Fallout 3 once I realized it contained all the DLC up until this point.

Let me know how it installs through steam. I have it on disc and its a pain in the ***.

I'm almost tempted to just re-purchase it.

Wow, I've been going through this: http://morrowind2009.wordpress.com/ and morrowind looks incredible! I would say it is getting up there with vanilla Oblivion for sure in terms of looks and feel. I'm pretty excited about playing it now.

I ended up buying Fallout 3 GOTY, which is a 9 GB download FYI. So far, I've spent 4 hours troubleshooting it and have yet to get past the launcher without it crashing

I think the last time I spent this long getting a game to work was when I had to create a boot disk for a particular game that required like 638k of conventional memory free to run.
    System specs:

    | Core i5 750 | GA-P55A-UD3 | 4.0 GB G.skill DDR3 1600 | eVGA 470 GTX |
    | Intel X25-M 80 GB SSD | WD 5000AAKS | Lian Li PC-7FN | Corsair TX750W |
    | Windows 7 Home 64-bit |

Fallout GOTY takes quite a bit of effort to to get work.

In my experience, 90% of the problem is with GFWL.

I suggest going to falloutnexus.com and finding a mod that disables GFWL. I think Fallout 3 Mod Manager does but I can't remember.

Funny...I bought Fallout GOTY through Steam a while ago and never had any problems with it at all. This is on Vista 64bit.

What is it about Steam that I end up buying games I already own on disks? Ended up getting Morrowind and Oblivion...again.
