How many games can you, or are you, playing simultaneously.

Im just curious, if anybody here tends to play more than one game at the same time. I usually try to stick to just one, for the sake of completion and to not distract me, but lately I've been playing 3 games at once which I find to be a bit of a challenge.

The ones I am playing right now are, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale II and Bad Company 2...the FPS and RPGs dont really get in the way of each other (IE, firing up IWD is a good way to take a break from BC2, but the two RPGS kinda do...)

So, how many are you, or tend to, or can, play at the same time?

I generally try to stick to 1 game at a time until I finish it, I've just always preferred that method, however after this Steam sale I find myself playing multiple games at once now.

I tend to bounce around on games unless I find one that makes me want to ignore everything else until it is completed. In the past month or two the vast majority of my gaming time has been spent with D&D and Monster Hunter Tri with little else being played, and I haven't actually fired up MHT in over 2 weeks.

The quick answer: I usually play 2-3 games at a time due to Steam friends coaxing me to game with them.

The long answer to follow:

Currently:
City of Heroes (recent rekindling thanks to a friend giving me some time)
Borderlands (only one night so far, but I could see myself playing a lot)
Resident Evil 5 (This is one I see myself playing once a week or so until I beat it)
Torchlight (haven't played in a couple weeks, but I might find time to get back to it soon)

Always play once in a while:
TF2 (I love this game)
Audiosurf (great way to listen to music)

Kicking myself for not playing yet, even though I own them:

I like to switch it up and play a good 3-5 at a time for a few months. Just get in the mood to play a certain type of game and play it.

I have a serious love/hate relationship with games now.

On the one hand, I love them, have always loved them, and always plan on or think I want to play them.
On the other hand, I never seem to have enough time to play, and when I do, I'm doing something else or only end up with a few minutes to actually play.

That, and my attention span and patience for games has actually declined as I've gotten older.

That said, here are my three lists. One for what I'm "Currently playing", one for what I'm really playing, and one for what I hope to be playing soon.

Final Fantasy IV (maybe 1-2 hours a week? Haven't played in awhile)
Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 (5-6 hours a week, when friends are online)
Super Mario Galaxy (probably my most played game. 1-2 hours a night)
Street Fighter IV (1-2 hours a week?)
Virtua Fighter 5 (1-2 hours a week)
Halo 3 ODST (only play co-op when my brother is in town; 1-2 hours a week)

I have a habit of playing a game about 30% of the way then totally leaving it for months or years. Then one day I'll pick it up and plow through the rest of the game. I did this with Shadow Complex this weekend. I played like 2 hours a few months ago, then I played like 10 hours over the weekend.

1 at at time for me. But I've realized as I've gotten older I've been playing games less and less frequently. Right now I've been playing Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on my 360 the past week or so... found it for $10 . Life has just been too busy for me to game lately!
