I jumped on the i7 build just a short time ago. The i7-930 came down to like $220 or sumthin a few months back. I wasn't ready for the upgrade but had to jump on it at that price. Was waiting for the nVidia GTX 480 to come out and waited for that. Was dissapointed when it did. Settled for a GTX 285 2GB instead. Finally got that, and the Arctic Cooling cooler for it about a month ago and put it all together. Just recently (last week) added a WD 600MB Raptor HDD to it. Will go SSD at some point, but am still waiting for a better price/size ratio.

Just mount a 65" display on the wall. No desk required.

Then I'd suggest a 2nd HD5870 or Tri-Fire with a HD5970. WWith 2x HD5870 in CFX mode, most games run pretty nicely @5760x1200, that extra GPU power comes in handy for more graphically intense games as well. I can get by WarHead with Gamer setting, no AA though.

Hmmm, seems everyone who's anyone's getting an i7 or i5, I'm getting left behind....

Ehhh... Mikey hold out with me, I am rocking my Q9650 for a good long time. Nothing compelling enough to force an upgrade at this time.

Same here - no need at the moment. Maybe a new videocard though because my 4850 is a bit slow at 1980 x 1050.

At the moment due to a driver's issue Infity doesn't see any performance difference between crossfire or non-crossfire. In fact if you have crossfire setup on an Eyefinity system the 2nd card will just idle and not do anything. THis is due to a driver problem ATI are working on.

In my upgrade I intend on upgrading to crossfire.

I got all my parts in now expect my GPU. I however bought a Radeon 4350 to hold me over ($30 buck figured at least I could test out my PC with it)

I'm super busy and will only be able to get pictures/build report up on Sunday when I go back to build it.

It should be up and running on Sunday
