Hope people start rolling out custom maps/missions. Otherwise the replay value is pretty low - Again It's free so you can't complain. I'm not too wild about the game overall still.

It is the underscore that works. Steam sure is is strange with names sometimes

Might also be worth a try.

Play Alien Swarm in first person.

Also some potentially helpful console commands

short burst weapons t o conserve ammo and move in a group.

The aliens never stop coming but it works like Left 4 Dead.

At various parts you'll have a large wave attack at once. Stay tight, handle the wave, and then move on when it thins out.

Try to have each team member be a different class.

Make sure the healer has access to heals!

Always have one team member bring an ammo pack.

Convince your techie to bring a welding torch.

Techs weld doors MUCH faster than non-techs and it really helps to be able to quickly hold off an advancing horde by shutting the door in their face. I always try to weld the doors behind us if I know the mission isn't going to make us backtrack as this will prevent getting snuck up on from behind.

Having a tech nearby also speeds up the deployment and breakdown of turrets!

Tech's also improve the motion radar. In higher difficulties, you have no motion radar if you have no tech.
