Unhappy VCD Control Tool has made my CD drive, and others, no longer work

I had an iso image I wanted to mount, but my Daemon Tools wasnt working for some reason, even with my old iso files I know work properly. I did everything like normal but the virtual drives just werent showing up.
So I had looked on some forums and found VCD Control Tool. I followed the readme, made sure the drive I was setting up wasnt one that was already in use, and the iso worked fine.
Soon after, I found out that the brand new CD drive I bought two weeks ago was no longer showing up under my computer, said there was none available when I tried to burn CDs, and wasnt responding when I put CDs in, even though it shows the device is there and working under device manager.
I also noticed that when I put any type of removable storage drive in my computer, like my phone or my camera, they now do not show up and I cant access them.

I've tried removing the only file from VCD but that didnt fix it. Any suggestions?

Go into disk management and assign a different drive letter to the VCD drive.

i cant. its no longer there. i have already deleted it and even removed the driver. and even when it was there it was the Z: drive, so it didnt share the name of anything important.
is there possibly just a way to make the CDdrive show up? the system says its there. or is there maybe something i still need to remove or reset from VCD?
its pretty inconvenient since i have stuff i need to send from my camera, and still need to update my phone =(

VCD only has the single dll. It doesn't interfere with anything except perhaps a drive letter assignment.
    Put media in the drive.
Check device manager for warnings and errors.
Check the system event logs for warnings and errors.
Check drive manager to make sure a proper drive letter is assigned.
