Apparently some 4chan users are causing the DDOS attack. What the hell kind of reasoning is this?

It's not 4chan, they just posted that on 4chan.

As for the reason: people in this world are stupid.

    :sigh:

I'm nowhere in the same league as you guys on this game. Looking at what you've done, it makes my scratches in the ground look pathetic.

How did you guys set those trees on fire? Lava in a Bucket?

I've never been able to do it with a torch...

Basically, I could be mining along and then suddenly blocks would start reappearing where I had just mined, then a few seconds later the whole game would crash (so I always knew when it was about to happen). After the fix, occasionally it would "lag" (I wouldn't see blocks dropping, for example) but if I waited a few seconds it would catch up all at once, or one or two times it still crashed.

Aside from that, there were a few spots of lag but I think they were minecraft related not server related. For example, when you mine a gravel block from the bottom of a stack and the rest drop down, there is a noticeable slowness as they drop.

I guess I got in after the foe-change, because I never saw any.

Oh and I just realized...Adisharr when you say "dirt stacks"...you really mean "super tall dirt stacks covered in torches" don't you? That "structure" became our meeting place, but we never knew who built it.
Hey glad you found some use for it I was just running around seeing what random useless thing I could make in the time I had. It's nice when you don't always have to worry about dying from a fall

Lava or flint & tinder will set trees on fire.

Man what a crappy day for multi to be down. I actually ended up paying attention during my meetings.

I've got an idea on an underwater tunnel I want to make that will require a good deal of glass. Could be really cool with the fish update supposedly coming on Halloween. I'll post more once I test to see that it actually works. Not having to worry about drowning will be pretty nice.

Hard to fault them for being suspicious when a guy is suddenly racking up nearly a million dollars in international donations to his Paypal account, and for the reason why he shows them a game with worse graphics than a 5 year old could draw. ::shrug::

I wonder what ultimately happened, as that article is dated September 10.

I just noticed the date - I would think he'd be making a big deal out of it if it wasn't resolved by now.

You know this game has to be pissing off a lot of developers lol

I regularly use flint&steel to clear the leaves after I harvest wood from my floating tree farm. Most times if I let it grow for a few days of game time, i get about 90 wood out of the farm, I then burn off the leaves, replant the saplings and start again.

That's a great idea - all this time I've been whacking the leaves which is time consuming.

I found the big R (okay, it's hard to miss).

Also I made some shovels and started collecting/smelting sand since everyone seems to want glass.

I added a glass-making factory (3 new furnaces together + our original 1) so the smelting will go faster. I'm burning wood not coal, so we need some good tree mining going on soon. A few stacks of glass are already ready for use.
