You can only do up to 64 at a time (one full stack), and if you are doing it through the game interface, it's extremely cumbersome, because you have to retype the command each time.
Logged into the server however, I can simply spam the paste function.
*Edit: I think I've found a quick new way to make those highways I've been dreaming of. If you see a long string of TNT laid out in a straight line, run.
I tried making a tunnel by making a 2x1 tunnel first and then lining it with a 1x1 line of TNT. Yeah... it doesn't work too well. You can check it out, its called splosion tunnel, I made some signs to it.
Also, I did a 256+ underground explosion by monroeski's tower (lololol sweet dreams monroeski), it did not breach the surface but it is CRAZY down there. You can find it by the huge dirt wall by monroeski's tower. The entrance is lit by two torches.

Supposedly if you center the tnt and enclose it in rock, it will make a perfect 3x3x3 cube opening.
Not sure when you did all your TNT testing, but I have a good guess:

Doesn't sound quite as clean looking as our other tunnels through the mountains are.

You know, I did have an underground/underwater mine going over there. Unless I'm thinking of a different huge wall; do you mean that huge one with the staircase and some letters or something no top of it, east of my tower?
I'm going to log in tonight and just find a huge crater where the cactus farm was, I just know it.

Yup that's it. It took me about 30 mins to place all those torches so you could actually see what's up.

My small contribution for the day was building Monument Avenue between the Washington and Lincoln memorials. Didn't want to mess up one of the lakes so I built a bridge over it

So I'm going to create Taggart's color emporium and fill it with chests and color cloths. I figure Kama and James can also help keep it filled as people need it.
If we hit that bull's eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.

started on my castle. cleared the area, and built the first row of the walls and 4 towers. now that I have a stack of TNT i may try and clear a big hill next to it and make it bigger.
At first I was thinking of just a castle, but now I am thinking making the walls cover a real wide area, and have a small village inside the walls. A blacksmith, pub, ect. A small garden/farm area with livestock, and maybe a big catapult in the front courtyard. I have been having issues where my computer loses my network, but only when I am playing. after a reboot it comes back. Weird.

I think the main server is down. I can't login right now.
Somewhat off-topic but I was thinking about something today with regards to Minecraft. It seems like Lego should have made a deal with Notch to at least license Minecraft so they can make Legocraft.
Instead of just squares you would have the various Lego pieces and by adding codes from various Lego sets you would gain extra shapes that might be exclusive to the sets including things like mini-figs.
