Why do you want Bose? Seriously, you can better spend your money elsewhere.

Any self-powered speaker set can be plugged in to a sound card, and it will work. And multimedia speakers, like the Bose Companion Multimedia speakers, are self-powered. So yes, it will work.

The setup will probably sound fine. But as Bassthe1st mentioned, your proposed setup is a terrible waste of money. You can get better speakers for your money than Bose, and you can get a better sound card for your money than the Fatal1ty cards. Those products force you to spend too much on branding, instead of spending money on actual performance and quality.

Yep, the bose companion speakers run $350. I wanted a good speaker system because my current Klipsh 5.1s are making a hissing sound. So I think my subwoofer is messed up. I just figured the bose takes up less space and gives the same affect. Do you have any other suggestions?
