Just beat ME2 as well. I'm pretty unhappy about losing Garrus and Tali in the suicide mission though. I wanted them to be around for ME3 in my game...oh well. I am going to do a second play through with the same character maybe I can save everyone this go around. Such a great game.
Just beat Nox. 7/10. A humorous Diablo sort of game by Westwood released in 2000 that I think sort of got lost in Diablo's shadow and no-one played it. Pretty good and fun though too short. Slightly overrated I think, everyone who has played it seems to say it is better than Diablo but I dunno about that, been a while since I played Diablo. Each of the 3 character classes (Wizard, Conjuror, Warrior) are very different though and the levels change as do the endings so alot of replay value. Has a unique true line of sight which looks great and you can jump as well and alot of the objects can be pushed around. Much simpler than Diablo, you can't improve any stats when you gain a level, it is done automatically. There also isn't a great deal of variety in the items or equipment to find and wear though there are tons of spells which look good and are fun to use. Won't be doing any grinding here or anything like that which you would in Diablo which is good. The interface is one of the best things, very easy and the ASDF hot keys make it a breeze for your favourite abilites/spells.
It's fast paced linear hack n slash with a few easy puzzles but the combat is non targeting and requires skill at times, especially as a mage which is the hardest class. You never feel cheated though. The enemies are varied and look good with good animation and the AI is pretty challenging. No difficulty levels but achieves the right balance for the most part. Has a simple story, basically a woman necromancer is gonna take over the world and you as a kid in the modern time get sucked into your TV set and have to defeat her to save the world...good villain and a sort of twist ending if you play as the Wizard (the endings are disappointingly rubbish though and short).
Not a bad game at all, graphics still look ok (better than Diablo), I think this was one of the few games to fully use MMX only. Actually more kind of like Gauntlet than Diablo but I liked and is well worth the 5 bucks on gog.

It is possible to save everyone so if you do decide to then at least it can be done. Or just reload an old save lol.

YES, Nox is an awesome game! See if anyone is still playing the multiplayer for that, it is insanely fast-paced deathmatch craziness.

Got it from GOG, I assume?
I found a disc copy at Half Price Books a few months back for $3 or $4, but haven't started yet. When it went up on GOG I was reminded of it and pushed it closer to the top of my backlog.
Comp - i7 950, Radeon HD 5870, 6gb DDR3 1600 Currently Playing - Gravity Rush 2, DOOM (2017), Nex Machina Currently Reading - Draculaby Bram Stoker
I liked 1 better as well, but I wouldn't go as far to call 2 mediocre. It was a well done game and fun to play.
3 tops 2 by a long shot and the graphics are excellent compared to 1.
The story in 1 was better, no question. However, the technical aspects of 2 were far superior. Support for high end video, vastly superior combat, superior AI.

Well of course I could go back. But how can I save them? They just died in cutscenes nothing I could do about it.
Spoiler
You automatically lose via cutscenes anyone who isn't loyal to you. So to save them you would need to go back far enough to do their loyalty missions.
If everyone is loyal to you, the only way you can lose someone is if you make a wrong choice for a given job. I.e. Tali = good for crawling through the pipe. Grunt = not good for crawling through the pipe.
I also made the mistake of not sending Moridin back with the survivors to the ship. he died in the assault on the final door.

yeah I would though I'm on mobile net so would probably be too slow anyway for online. I think there are online servers but not run by EA anymore, they stopped supporting it years ago apparently.

nah I got it for 99p along with Commandos 2 and Motorcross Madness 2 also for 99p in Morrisons (a supermarket chain over here) a few weeks ago Brand new as well, it was the only copy so I was lucky. I wasn't looking for it or anything but at that price... and Commandos 2 even though I completed it when it was released I didn't have it anymore and I picked that up cos it's just awesome anyway and the best in the Commandos series. Motorcross Madness 2, well I just remember it being pretty damn fun so yeah. In those bins it's usually all trash and I never stop to check em but luckily I did.

They are all loyal and I still lost 5 teammates in cutscenes. I sent Tali through the pipe too. Maybe I just need to try different leaders for the other groups. I did not send Moridin back but he still survived as well.

Ill just try a few more times then.

James is right about Mordin. He's pretty much the weakest character there is so when the time comes to 'escort' someone, he's your man. I played through on Normal Difficulty, had everyone loyal... and I sent Tali in the vents, Samara for the shields, Miranda as first fire team leader, and Garrus as second fire team leader. That end boss was joke. What an ugly thing. EDIT: Also, I totally banged Miranda... LOL

Don't put Jack on Miranda's team, she'll die every time. I used Jacob or Garrus for the leaders

Just beat Dead Island. I clocked around 20 hours into it. Pretty great play time for a FPSRPG these days. Overall the game was really fun and definitely worth a buy. I'm going to play through the game again on the NG+ setting to collect all the easter egg skulls which can be traded in for crazy blueprints for insane weapons. I didn't find any skulls on my first play through, but they are supposedly very well hidden.
Next up is probably Gears of War 2 since I have it sitting around.
