tk1986 helped me this morning chew through an entire floor in like 30 minutes, which was awesome.

And yet I get no mention for providing you with 4 stacks of charcoal.

It shall. Although the heavens are only 3 floors up from where it currently stands.

And a shout out to linoleum who provided me with copious quantities of charcoal. Without which I wouldn't even have the current top floor built out.
*Edit: Wow, just did a quick calculation. each floor requires around 6 stacks of charcoal to create. That's a lot of dead trees.

All but the topmost level of the above ground portion of my hotel/office building/whatever is done. Thanks again to both melsh and dejarin who hooked me up with a ton of coal and other resources. Mostly coal though.

Got the "exposed" part of my building all done. It's utilitarian looking, but I like it. Now I'm working down, and I've already hit the cavern that runs under the building.

An update:

My building goes all the way to bedrock now. (1 layer above it technically, since I wanted a smooth floor.)

The bottom 3-4 floors are still being excavated/built out though. I just took the time to create the stairwells for all floors, and do some quick digging at each level. Linoleum's Tombstone tunnel runs through one of the floors now, and as such I have doors where windows should be for it.

Not that anyone is going to use the tunnel now that the portal is setup, of course.

Also there is a portal for Fort James now as well. And someone found a 3rd village but I don't know who, and I haven't seen it except on the big map.


1.9pre3 was released today. Supposedly the plan is for them to stop adding new features and switch to bugfixes only from Oct 18 until the first non-beta release on Nov 18. I think it's still unknown whether 1.9 will be released before Oct 18, but even if not, it's still less than 2 weeks away.
