The 3rd was damned near unplayable for me until the patched the aiming lag. How that made it through QC is beyond me. Oh wait.....they were spending their time on the "non-scripted and dynamic" fire and sand. Too bad those sections compose <%10 of the game.

Well muscled through Uncharted 1. Traded it in and bought BF3 limited edition on PS3 on sale for $40. Got BF1943 free with it too. Plays pretty darn good too.

It's definitely one of those games where I'll be buying sequels and DLC day one. Hopefully they can pump out the MMO and it'll have similar combat. If so, I'll never get anything done ever again.

Just started Albert Odyssey on the Sega Saturn.

Bought it off eBay last year, never got around to playing it. Played about 2 hours last night and so far it seems like a solid, quirky, fun little RPG. Looking forward to getting further in.

I loved the original Defense Grid but the expansion completely left me with a sour taste in my mouth. It lost all the charm of the original. Come to think of it I never even finished it.

I finished up a 2nd run of DEHR over the weekend, got my "give me deus ex" and "pacifist" awards.

Now I'm playing through as a sociopath. I'm killing everyone. I'm done with sneaking for awhile.

Might go play FO:NV after this.

QFT. I had all the achievements done but then the expansions came out and they were not fun to play at all.

Just finished: Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within. A dark mystery/horror FMV adventure game. Unlike nearly all FMV games though, this is actually good. I've played it before, a looooong time ago but it's just as good as it ever was. The setting, the characters, the story, the plot, the puzzles, the gameplay are as good as it gets. Even the acting (hilariously hammy at times) has its moments.

Chapter 5 is the best chapter in the game and involves a group of characters out at night in a hunting lodge, very gripping and atmospheric. Some ingenious puzzles and not overly difficult (unlike the first game), the difficulty is about right for me. Easily one of the best adventure games ever made. 9.5/10.

Next: Rollercoaster Tycoon or Freespace 1 and 2.

My schedule has been brutal lately; but I finally got around to finishing another game. Finished Red Faction: Armageddon. This was a pretty good game and way better than I expected. Plays from third person view. It has the typical destructive environments that Red Faction is known for and with the Nano Forge attached to your arm you can pretty much rebuild whatever it is you destroy. This can lead to some interesting gameplay strategy, like shooting an elevated floor out from under an enemy, then you just rebuild it so you can pass. Also, the magnet gun is mad fun. Shoot an object or bad guy, then shoot another object and watch stuff fly.

Solid game. I recommend it not so much for the story, but just overall a fun game. Took me a little over 7 hours and I'm a slow player. I think my son did it in around 5. 3.25/5

Just beat Darksiders. All in all I thought it was a solid game even though the back tracking did get old towards the end. That said, it played like an adult Zelda and I liked the religious back story to it. Some boss battles and puzzles are tedious but if you can work past it it really is a great game. Looking forward to the sequel.

    Duke Nukem: Forever
    7/10

    Not that bad lol

+I found most of it humorous
    +Ran well
    +Good length

    -Gfx quality varied wildly
    -Some parts were quite disturbing

I was surprised by this game, it wasn't great but I finished it quite easily while I can't for the life of me manage to finish a CoD or BF single player campaigns.

Gonna try to work through BF3 for the 3rd time, we will see.

I've been following the development and I like alot of the changes being made to the sequel. There will be less back tracking and a larger world with hubs and missions. They've removed blocking and replaced it with a greater emphasis on dashing which is awesome since blocking was pretty meh in the first game.

I hope they straighten out the controls for secondary items. It got frustrating having to constantly resassign the quick select mapping.
