    COD Black Ops II: Robotz

    http://www.giantbomb.com/call-of-dut...-2025/17-5939/

The only thing I took away from that trailer is how dated the COD engine is.

IMO, we won't see a new COD engine until 2014 after the new systems have a decent user base. IMO, 360-2 and PS4 will be 2013 holiday. A yearly COD will release (of course) in Q4 2013, but will mainly focus on the larger 360/PS3 userbase and make a half-*** launch port for the new consoles with a couple of graphical enhancements. It won't be until 2014 before we possibly see a brand new COD engine for the next gen.

Incredibly boring and out-dated, ironically set in the future....with horses and cowboys.

The strikeforce element for branching gameplay sounds interesting. That said, I quit caring about the COD franchise a long time ago. So much of the story makes no damn sense and I prefer other games for MP.

Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4. Excellent single player and multiplayer. That's how I wish to remember the series. This looks like complete garbage...

My son watched the trailer and his CoD loving self even said ' Dad that looks awful. Is that in the future? Like 2142? It won't be any good.'. That made me chuckle. So I showed him the Dust 514 trailer and said 'no this is a future shooter that looks like it will be good and refreshing, but for PS3.'

I then went back to playing world of tanks. I was off work yesterday and played it 12 hrs straight.

COD is the Justin Bieber of videogames. Music aficionados plug their ears when he comes on, our eyes bleed when we see COD. But the masses love them.

Also, anyone curious as to how we created an entire robotic army in only 13 years? haha

When I did robotics in college I saw some crazy stuff like when i did the Robocup competition in Japan. Everything from small scale search and rescue robots to life like replacements for secretaries.

    Check this out:

My old controls/robotics professor was working on something similar with a focus on miniaturized agile fliers. The largest funding came from the US Military. This was about 7 years ago.
