I haven't beaten anything recently, but I saw a game on Giantbomb called Dwarf Fortress that I want try out. I've heard of it before, but never looked into it. It looks really neat.

Dwarf Fortress is amazing, but insanely complex and incredibly unintuitive.

Played some more Dwarf Fortress. Such a huge game. I'm amazed a two man team made it. The UI is really crappy, but once you get past that the game is deeper than anything I've ever played. So much is going on in the background. It took my computer 4-5 mins just to generate the world because it creates a 250 year history when you start the game.

Think of the game as Oregon Trail x 1 million.

WoW that game looks like something I would've played in the 80s with all the ASCII character graphics.

It is easily the deepest game in existence. If you can get used to the interface you can easily lose yourself in the game.

You can also grab texture packs to simply the interface. All it does is replace the ascii with pictures.

Yup, I was going to say that. I'm playing with a texture pack. I downloaded the lazy noob pack and it starts you off with a lot of good packages.

Does that work with DF version 34.11? I only see it go up to 10.

I had been playing too much Terraria and Minecraft, but now...

Just started Penny Arcade: On the Rain Slicked Precipice of Darkness Part 3.
It's fun. Done in the style of FFIV/VI on the SNES.

    There is such a thing?

I started playing Bastion while the Minecraft server was down. Now the server is fixed, so I'll probably never know how it ends.
