Taggart, I dunno. It's a fun game and all but unless you're playing coop it isn't that great..

Edit. I guess I was a couple years late to the DoW fun, at least this generations, but I have had a few guys from here go through a few missions of the campaign with me, but it didn't last long. I haven't even beat it. I have ZERO interest in beating it alone. However, a coop buddy would change that completely for me.

If you plan on playing multiplayer at all (and imo, mp is the game's strongest suit), Retribution is the only one you want.

Speaking of retribution...Blacklight Retribution is now on Steam. I enjoyed the heck out of Blacklight Tango Down, until it faded away due to nobody playing it on PC. I'll probably be playing this one the most.

I absolutely hated what I played of it at PAX East. The writing was terrible, the controls were laggy (on 360) and the gameplay consisted of needing to take cover behind things shooting then moving forward a few steps listening to the characters talking, followed by taking cover behind some other thing and shooting some more. There were no tactics there, just stopping and shooting at your targets before moving on.

It's getting good reviews, though. *shrug*

I watched the giantbomb quicklook and it seemed like another 3rd person brown shooter. I'm totally over most 1st and 3rd person shooters. I'd much rather build or explore these days in videogames rather than shoot dudes a thousand times over.

All they're really good for is tech demos. I was interested in upgrading my gpu to a 670 and the more I think about it the more I realize these samey fps are the only reason for my upgrades. EVERY time.
